About us
Wadloopcentrum Fryslân is one of the biggest and oldest organisations organising intertidal guided walks in The Netherlands. We started offering these tours more than fourty years ago and nowadays our organisation counts approximately 50 experienced guides. Each year we offer about 130 tours with a total of 6000 to 7000 participants.
Our organisation was established in 1968 as a non profit organisation. Our guides have choosen to offer these intertidal tours in their spare time next to their normal jobs. Our goals are to guarantee the safety of the participants, to protect the unique natural and scenic values of the Waddensea area and to conserve the allure of participation in an intertidal guided tour.
